Dr. Firouzeh Niakosari is a board-certified dermatologist and anatomical pathologist from the University of Toronto.

She received her medical degree and board degree in dermatology from Beheshti University of Tehran with honors in 1997. She practiced in Tehran and Dubai for a few years before coming to Canada. Her experience in dermatology expands over diverse ethnic and racial skin disorders.

Dr. Niakosari completed a fellowship in dermatopathology at the University of Toronto, where she published her research papers in Archives of Dermatology, Archives of Pathology, and other peer-reviewed dermatology journals. She also served as a reviewer for Archives of Dermatology.

Dr. Niakosari’s research is primarily in the area of pigmented skin lesions and melanomas. She has presented her research nationally and internationally. Her areas of interest expand to psoriasis, acne, and laser and cosmetic treatments.

Dr. Niakosari is a member of Canadian Dermatology Association, American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Laser Medicine & Surgery, and The Canadian Laser Aesthetic Surgery Society.
